But\, to begin with\, they were scorned\, penniless outsiders. 1874 was the year that changed everything; the first Impressionists\, “hungry for independence”\, broke the mould by holding their own exhibition outside official channels. Impressionism was born and the art world was changed forever. \nWhat led to that first groundbreaking show 150 years ago? Who were the maverick personalities that wielded their brushes in such a radical and provocative way? Participants will be encouraged to discuss how certain scents make them feel and why. \nWinter Sensory Bag – Sense of touch and visual elements are the primary inspirations for this class. Winter-themed trinkets\, such as crystal snowflakes\, multicolored pom-poms\, and mini pinecones will be added to gel-filled bags. These bags can be stuck on windows for long car rides! \nRegistration is Open!\n*Winter Sensory Workshop is a Free Program thanks to support from the Art Bridges Access for All grant. \nPre-registration for classes will be required and spots are limited.
